Welcome to the India Phillips Foundation website.

Our Warrior Princess India Kimberly Phillips passed away on November 2, 2011. She was fine one minute, got a fever and passed away. She died from toxic shock caused by Strep A (yes the one many get in the throat). In rare cases it generates a toxin which triggers the immune system to overreact,  causing organ failure in less than 24 hours. We loved her so much and never ever want to forget how precious and kind she was.  Mom, Dad and Trinity’s words from the celebration of her life service can be found on the right had side of this page.

Dads words summarize what we hope to accomplish with this foundation.

In India’s memory we hope all really cherish what is important. Remember to be a little more compassionate to others. Reach out to a friend or relative you may have had a falling out with. Time is very short.

After India passed we got her last (October 2011) report card and it said, “India has a diverse group of friends and enjoys playing with them. She is always willing to let a friend that is a little quite or shy enter her group. She is quite the comedian and loves making her friends and teachers laugh”. India always liked to make others happy and she would often give her favorite toy to a friend or someone she just met and we would ask her if she really wanted to. She would say yes cause they really like it and it makes them happy.

Mom and Dad knew given the choice India would have wanted her organs donated and as a result there is a young woman in San Diego who received her kidneys.

‘Indi-Bear mom and dad are so proud of you’.

The India Phillips foundation will try to honor her spirit and kindness. Motivating us and others to remember that friendship and caring are really what makes life rewarding and successful. We hope India’s kindness and friendship will carry on with others and help them when they need it.
